Our Story
Our story blossomed in 2014 with a promise of taking the road less traveled; a genuine, unwavering commitment to invest in our community. We launched Harvest and the Seed Project Foundation on the understanding that if you spend a dollar locally, 70 cents of it stays in the local community. Intentional sourcing and thoughtful investment helped us create a strong, local network of farmers, ranchers, artists, and artisans and to grow a movement to leave this world better than we found it. Through conscious decisions and the support of each person that dines with us, we’ve been able to create ripples of good in our communities. As we move to the Masonic Lodge at 215 N. Kentucky Street, our dedication to continue to ignite awakening runs deep.
Farmers + Ranchers
HARVEST FOOD PHILOSOPHY
Our mission revolves around partnering with the hands that sow seeds, raise livestock, and feed our families. Every plate is a testament to the army of local farmers, ranchers, and artisans within a 250-mile radius that we support with your help. Water Boy Farms is where my wife Robbin and I live and have raised our children. Water Boy supplies some of the fruits, vegetables, flowers, honey, herbs, and beef to our restaurants. The farm is directed by our Executive Chef and Master Gardener Chef Dre and worked by our own employees.
At Harvest, the culture of our community surrounds every meal. Whether it’s the visual art that adorns our walls or the bands that ignite our historic Masonic stage, we celebrate the creators who make McKinney what it is today.
CELEBRATING ARTS AND CULTURE
the restoration
THE MASONIC LODGE, BUILT IN 1899
Our passion at Harvest has always been to restore and re-purpose. Our decision to embrace this historic landmark was more than just a location choice; it was a call to preserve and honor its past. We’ve taken no shortcuts, ensuring every wall, brick, and window is restored to maintain historic integrity.
